The Palace of Valdeparaíso: Venari’s Headquarters

The Valdeparaíso Palace, an 18th century architectural jewel located in Almagro, Ciudad Real, is home to the Venari International Center for Hunting and Game Gastronomy.

This historic building, owned by the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real, belonged to Don Juan Francisco Gaona, first Count of Valdeparaíso and Minister of Finance of King Ferdinand VI. Thanks to its restoration, today the palace not only preserves its original splendor, but has also become an epicenter of cultural, educational and tourist activities.

A unique space
for hunting gastronomy

The Palace is now the official headquarters of Venari, the first international center dedicated exclusively to training in hunting gastronomy. Here, renowned chefs, students and representatives of haute cuisine from around the world will gather to perfect their culinary techniques in a unique setting.

Venari aims to be the meeting point of reference for events, training and gastronomic workshops related to game cooking.

Modern facilities in a historic setting

The Valdeparaíso Palace has been adapted to offer modern facilities without losing its historical character. It has:

  • Two fully equipped classrooms.
  • A projection room and a lecture hall for conferences and presentations.
  • Professional kitchens for culinary practices and workshops.
  • Spacious rooms and outdoor spaces for social events and training activities.

In addition, the building is fully adapted for people with disabilities and has an elevator. For the comfort of our students and trainers, the palace offers single and double rooms for stays during courses and events.
